Meet Comet

Meet Comet! Comet is about 1-year-old and 23-pounds. He came to us from a rural Tennessee rescue that assisted with a hoarding case of 48 dogs. He is understandably shy and will need some time and patience to learn how to be a dog. Comet deserves a wonderful home after what he's been through!

Hi, I'm little Comet! My foster parents are working hard to show me how to potty outside - and after two days, I'm already figuring it out (I'm very smart, by the way)! All of this is new to me so I'll need patience as I learn. I'm tolerating the resident dog so would do best with someone willing to do slow introductions of their resident dog!

Because the first year of my life was rough, I am a little nervous and shake when first meeting people or things. But I warm up fast and love cuddling on your lap as much as possible. I also love following you around the house and exploring - I'm a curious little dude. I'm looking for a home that is patient with me and that will take me on walks so I can explore and get more comfortable with my newfound freedom :)

**Please note: Our animals live in foster homes throughout the Madison area. We do not have a shelter where animals are available for daily viewing. Applying is the first step in our process.**

Dogs from Underdog Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
Spay/Neuter
Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella Vaccinations (as age appropriate-puppy adopters may need to cover some vaccine boosters OR they have the option of bringing the pet to Underdog for complimentary completion of these vaccines)
Heartworm Test (for dogs over 6mo)
Microchip
Deworming
Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian

Our adult dog adoption fee is $275. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $350. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $250.

*Please note that all breeds noted are estimates or best guesses. We very rarely have information on our animals' actual breeds since they often come to the shelters we work with as strays*
