Lucy Mixed Breed Madison, WI

Meet Lucy! Lucy is about 5-years-old and 50-pounds. She has an incredible story! From our rescue partner:

On February 3rd, Lucy was trapped at the Tishomingo State Park. She had been living there on her own for almost two years. She stayed in the trap overnight and was completely "shut down". In all her time there, she had never had human contact. She was believed to be feral and lived off of scraps from park-goers, and who knows what else. I picked her up the next day and immediately took her to the vet. She stayed a few days, was spayed, was given shots, had a heartworm test (which was shockingly NEGATIVE), and skin scrape (also negative). I picked her up and brought her home. Initially, she didn't want anyone touching her. She wasn't aggressive, but just afraid and cowered & shook. Some of our awesome vet techs had already been working with her and her fear was much less intense. In the month that she's been here, her temperament has mellowed and she's very laid-back. She loves attention and people. She gets along with the cats and the couple dogs that I've introduced her to, although she's still a little nervous with them. She is crate-trained and actually finds comfort in her crate. She has really come out of her shell and deserves to be laying in someone's living room, enjoying all of the love they have to give. She loves attention and her person (and all the cats she's met so far.)!

Dogs from Underdog Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
Spay/Neuter
Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella Vaccinations (as age appropriate-puppy adopters may need to cover some vaccine boosters OR they have the option of bringing the pet to Underdog for complimentary completion of these vaccines)
Heartworm Test (for dogs over 6mo)
Microchip
Deworming
Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian

Our adult dog adoption fee is $275. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $350. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $250.
