Maize is a sweetheart who loves her time on the leash! If you’re a walker, jogger, runner, or even just up for a leisurely stroll, she’s your girl. Maize is a very affectionate dog and consistently demonstrates an eagerness to please. While moderate drive and often energetic, she calms well in the home.

During her time in foster, Maize has encountered many social situations including parks, the veterinarian’s office, local restaurants, and retail stores. She has great social skills with people, children, and other dogs. She may be a candidate to share her home with small animals as she has historically only shown a mild curiosity when she’s encountered them. Maize has recently started an obedience course and is doing very well. She will occasionally chew things inappropriately and will jump when excited but is progressing well in correcting these behaviors.

Maize’s ideal home would come with a fenced yard that includes lots of room to run and a family who is active and could share her love of the outdoors. Given her moderate drive, she could excel in an active sport like agility or flyball. Maize is fearless and ready for the next adventure – jog up beside her and get ready to conquer the world together!

Our adoption process includes- completion of an application, followed by a telephone interview. If that goes well, we will arrange for a home visit.
Adoption Fee: $400.00. Transport along Interstate 5 (Bakersfield, CA to Bellingham, WA) is available but cost not included in adoption fee.
