Meet Oakley
A beautiful and shy girl looking for a special family that will take the time to introduce new things to her on her terms and in a positive manner.
Oakley is not house trained. House training an adult is just like training a puppy. She will need frequent “potty” breaks on a regular schedule to start. She should be crated when she cannot be directly supervised to prevent accidents.
We feel she would do well in a home with other dogs with a proper introduction. We will require a dog meet here at the shelter to ensure it is a good fit. We are unsure at this point if she would do well with children or if they would be overwhelming for her. It will likely depend on the individual child. We will require any children in the home to come in and meet with her.
Oakley is a nervous and under socialized dog. Because of this we are requiring that she attend training/socialization classes with her new owner to help get her off on the right foot in her new home. She craves attention and once she knows you are safe she will be your constant companion!
Sheis 4 years old and 50 pounds.
