Dobbie Chinchilla Chinchilla Wolcott, IN

We have a standard grey male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. His name is Dobbie! Dobbie came to us, after his previous family adopted him from a rescue that was at a pet store event.. and then was unable to keep him. He’s now settled in with us and he’s ready to find a home of his own! Dobbie is estimated to be about 2.5 years old, with an estimated birthdate of 6/2017.

Dobbie’s color is called standard grey, which is a salt and pepper grey color over his back (though Dobbie has a lot of the darker coloring to him) and a white belly. How pretty! This is the classic color in chinchillas.

Dobbie is a good house elf! But he wants to be a free house elf! He loves loves LOVES running on his wheel (feel free to check with us, we may have some used ones for sale – unfortunately the pet store ones are not safe for chinchilla use), maybe he thinks this will free him from his master? He’s a pretty quick one in his cage, but once you catch him, he actually does settle down in your arms. When you’re holding him, he’s pretty chill and will chill with you… he just wants to make you work for his love! Dobbie is very sweet though, and will just sit in your arms and cuddle, once you’re holding him. Nice little love bug. Doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla would make a great “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Mazuri pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.
