Frederica, aka Freddie, is a beautiful cat who is around 1-2 years old. She has been through a lot at this point, including just being returned after being adopted. She really wants love, but we believe that she has been abused at some point, so she has a tendency to lash out with her paws, especially while she is settling in to a new location. This is behavior that does improve with time, but can continue kind of randomly, such as when she doesn't want to be pet anymore, etc.

With the right person this behavior should resolve with time, but it could take months, and she needs an adopter who is going to love her as she is and be willing to bear some scars for awhile. It can be a task to earn the trust of a kitty like this, but the reward is truly wonderful!

Freddie should be either the only cat, or maybe with one other mellow kitty. She also should not go to a home with young children. She seems to be okay with small, well-mannered dogs, but we don't recommend boisterous or large dogs.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and FeLV/FIV negative.
