Thing 1 Chinchilla Chinchilla Wolcott, IN

We have tan female chinchilla who’s looking for his new home. This girl actually was transferred into our rescue from the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago, a bit ago, with her brother. They are Thing 1 and Thing 2 – this little girl is Thing 1, and she is now ready to find her own home!

We were provided with his birthdate of 7/2/19, which means she will turn 5 months old here soon. Great time to add her to your family!

Her color is called tan, which is a medium brown color all the way around. Whereas most chins have a white belly, tans have an ebony gene, which wraps the tan color all the way around their body, including their belly.

We actually took Thing 1 to a rescue pet expo a little bit ago, and everyone raved about how awesome she was! Of course, everyone said they’d be back to adopt… no one was… but that doesn’t mean she’s any less awesome! She’s a very curious girl and she loves to check out new thing. While she can be energetic at times, she’s also totally cool with chilling with you when you’re holding her, and she does great with handling and petting. She’s a super super sweet little chin. Can’t imagine why she’s still here… though we did wait to list her, since all those people “would be back.” Well, now she’s being listed, their loss, now you can take her home! Super SUPER sweet girl, she doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla would make a great "first chinchilla" for someone who's never had one before.

This chinchilla is currently caged alone. However, if you interested in pairing him up with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. She did get along with her brother (though for obvious reasons, the two could not remain caged together), so she may get along with other chinchillas. If you are interested if she may get along with one of our, or one of your, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do!

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (Tradition pellets), a goodie bag of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

The adoption fee for Thing 1 would normally be $175, but due to our Nippy November Sale, you can adopt her through the end of the year for $150! Must be adopted or have a deposit down by December 31st (yes, December) to qualify for the sale!
