Chip Chinchilla Chinchilla Wolcott, IN

We have a standard grey male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. His name is Chip. Chip came into our rescue because the family that owned him had 7 kids and unfortunately, no time for him! That’s ok though, he’s cool with it, and ready to find a new home of his own! We have down that Chip was born around 9/2016, which makes him just having turned 3 years old! Great time to take him home!

Chip’s color is called standard grey, which means he is the classic salt and pepper chinchilla color over his back and much of his body, with a white belly.

Chip is a sweet boy. Like most chinchillas, he sometimes likes to play “hard to get” and can take it moment or two to scoop him up into your arms, but he’s very sweet when you’re holding him! He loves loves LOVES his dust bath, and it can be used to lure him if needed. Once he’s in, he doesn’t want to get out! Sweet boy when you’re handling him, doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether he might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla would make a great “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

Chip is located at our rescue in Hammond, IN (46324). Sorry, we do not ship.

The adoption fee for Chip would normally be $75, but due to our Nippy November Sale, you can adopt him now through the end of the year for $65!! Must be adopted or have a deposit down by December 31st (yes, December) to qualify for the sale price!
