Kara is a 7 year old CALICO PERSIAN with golden eyes. She has beautiful fur with patches of black and caramel on a white background. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccines and has her claws. This poor girl! She originally had been in a very busy home with cats, kids, and dogs, and was not a happy girl, so she was given away, and put outside in a horse barn. She had been living there for 3 months, where some dominant male cats were picking on her. A good samaritan took pity on her and brought her to us. A Persian is not meant to be a barn/outside cat! Her fur was one big matted mess, she had a mouthful of rotten teeth, and had a bladder infection. But fortunately, that is all in the past!

She received a lion cut, and instantly felt soooo much better, without all those mats constantly pulling on her skin! She had a dental, and got rid of all of those rotten teeth, and only has 7 left, but she eats canned and dry food like a champ, although if she has her choice, she does prefer her saucy canned food and treats. Let’s not forget the treats! She got an antibiotic which cleared up that nasty bladder infection, and is 100% with her litterbox. Understandably, after being picked on and bullied, she doesn’t like other cats, and would prefer to be an only. She is so happy now, and spends her days enjoying the quiet life, and a sunny window where she can watch the birds and little critters scamper about. She is a typical calico. She enjoys petting, getting treats, and attention, but when she’s done with you, she’s done. Because of all the severe matting in the past, she only likes light brushing/combing, so a lioncut would be best. She has minimal Persian eye drainage. If you want a quiet little girl who will keep you company, this is your kitty. After all she’s been through, she is a very nice girl, who deserves a happy, loving forever home.
