HI WONDERFUL HUMANS!
I am Arrow and I'm sure I was called that because I am who I am – no pretense – straight as an arrow. Actually, Mr. Friendly would have been a better name. I love everyone I meet and will give them kisses too – the more you pet – the more I kiss! That's a fair trade don't you think? I do bark when strangers come to the house (that is my only job), but once that door is open it is me greeting them with a friendly tail wag and – you guessed it – a bunch of kisses. I haven't been around kids a lot, but the ones I've met I have greeted with kisses too. Kisses are good.

Fetch would also have been a good name because, boy do I like to fetch balls. I will run and return, run and return until the sun goes down. Nothing like running after a ball. Afterwards I will just lay myself down in the sun to nap or steal a pillow and snuggle up to you – yes, I do steal pillows!

I know you may think I am perfect at this point, but I do have a small problem. I just don't like cats or small dogs. There is something about them that just makes me want to go after them – possibly their size? Their superior attitude? I don't know what it is, but they bug me. So, you can see that the best place for me is a fenced yard with large dogs and NO CATS! I do play with dogs, as long as they are large because I get so excited. Those small ones just get knocked over.

I am a great walking and hiking companion, but I do admit that the rain makes me a bit grumpy. I have sailed through an obedience program and can do: SIT, STAY, TO ME, DROP IT, SHAKE, HEEL and LIE DOWN. That's a lot of commands. Hey I'm smarter than I thought. I am quite a handsome young guy too. If you take a chance with me I promise to be your straight arrow and true companion!

ADOPTION FEE is $150, and there’s a 10% Discount for Senior Citizens and Veterans.

If you want to learn more about a particular dog, then please submit an Adoption Application.
