Meet Oso

Oso is my name and that's because I am oh so sweet, oh so cute and oh so needing to find a quiet, calm place to live out the rest of my time on this lovely earth we inhabit.

I am a bit sad these days as my best friend passed away and am living with his relatives. They are really nice people, don't get me wrong, but I was used to living in a very quiet household with just one person and now I am in a rather chaotic, noisy situation with other dogs and children.

I do like my space and am ashamed to admit that I did a little bit of protective gentle nipping to warn others to give me a bit of space. But that was when I first arrived and it's pretty much ended. I may also pee a bit in the beginning, but again, I am just a nervous little thing right now and still grieving. You would be a bit nervous too if you were in this great big world where everything looked giant when you looked up, Geezo, it feels like anything that lands on me could just about crush me. I couldn't weigh more than a bag of peanuts!! Did I mention that I was 10 years old? Bet you thought I was younger though.

I know it states that I am not good with children, however I am living with a couple of children (8 and 11) and I adore the 11-year old and sleep nightly on her bed. I can handle children, I just feel a little nervous around the noisy, touchy ones.

I'll tell you what cheers me up though: short walks (short legs means that it takes me a bit longer to get around), sleeping in the sun (who doesn't like that?) and cuddling with one person, (I could cuddle for hours with one person).

If there is a lot of noise and activity around me I may bark a bit; maybe I am better suited to live in a library – ha ha ha!

But seriously folks, have you seen the pictures of me? Get a load of the black patch over my left eye – pretty darn cute, eh? I just need someone out there to give me a chance and I can show them what a loving little ball of fun I can be. Could you be oh, so willing to do that?
