Meet Gus
Gus is part of a bonded pair. He and his brother Gunner are an owner surrender. They were purchased from a breeder and were supposedly 4 months old, they were not they are 2 to 3 years old. The owner said she had purchased them for her 6-year-old son who had open heart surgery and the doctors said no way they need to go. So she put them outside to fend for themselves. We do not know how they were treated but we can assume from their behavior not very well.
These boys are scared and will need a lot of understanding and love. Gus has a curve in his back but seems to get along okay. He loves to play with the other dogs and chase the cats who all outweigh him by at least 8 pounds. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and had a dental to remove his puppy teeth that never fell out. He weighs 3.5 pounds.
