Meet Despereaux! (Desi for short) This sweet girl is about 12-weeks-old and 15-pounds. She ended up at a rural Alabama shelter with a wound to her neck. They were able to take her to a vet to have surgery and she has now healed. She clearly didn't have the best start to life, so she's looking for a home that will give her what she needs the rest of her life! She has been chasing the resident cat for her strength training exercises so best to be in a cat free home...this is TOO fun for her.
She has become a confident, happy, spunky puppy during her stay in foster care and is ready to find her forever home.

Dogs from Underdog Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
Spay/Neuter
Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella Vaccinations (as age appropriate-puppy adopters may need to cover some vaccine boosters OR they have the option of bringing the pet to Underdog for complimentary completion of these vaccines)
Heartworm Test (for dogs over 6mo)
Microchip
Deworming
Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian

Our adult dog adoption fee is $275. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $350. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $250.
