Sophie American Staffordshire Terrier Mix New London, WI

Hey everyone! My name is Sophie and I am a happy go lucky 6 yr old young lady in search of my forever home. I am an active 65lb puppy at heart.

I do require plenty of exercise and if I had someone to hike or run with, that would be ideal....if you can keep up! I am quite the lover and everyone says that I am a big goofball!

I was rescued from a shelter in Houston Texas where my previous owner surrendered me and my brother. Before that we were kept outside on a chain. I was scheduled to be euthanized when Wag Again Rescue jumped in and saved me from death.

Now that I have seen love and how it is to be with a family, my eyes have been opened to a whole new world! I am fun, curious, intelligent, and a happy active girl. I love to explore new places and learn new things! With a proper introduction, I am a bit dog selective. My preference is to be an only dog, but I have been able to do well with dogs that are my size. I do like to chase cats, which is heavily frowned upon, so I probably should refrain from living with them. I am a big girl and my foster family has said that I do better with older kids. Otherwise, I am pretty easy-going and happy!

I am currently being fostered in Houston, Texas as I search for my furever home. Once I find the perfect home, Wag Again will schedule me for transport to the PNW. Transport fees are $220 (this is separate from the adoption fee) as this fee is set by the transport company. All transports are done by ground, because those airplanes can be very scary.
