ATTENTION ALL CHIHUAHUA LOVERS! (and future ones too) If you google ‘Chihuahua’ you might see a picture of Carlo. He is sassy, he is spunky and best of all he is a love bug! Typical of the breed he does not like strangers- but no one is a stranger for long since Carlo loves being the center of attention- you just have to be really cautious until he decides they are is ok.

There is a BIG personality in this little 5 pound body, unfortunately there are some injuries too. Carlo came to Noah’s Hope after being hit by a car. Three surgeries later- he is almost walking normal. A broken femur and pelvis slowed this guy down for a while but his love of life is making up for lost time.

Carlo is still very puppy-ish at 2 years old so he would love a dog close to his size to play with. He does fine with bigger dogs too, but we have to be careful that he doesn’t get re-injured while playing with them. Cats provide lots of noisy entertainment for this guy but there is little chance of conflict there if the cat can jump up higher. Carlo can’t jump or go up steps yet, but he keeps trying!

Hopefully Carlo can find a home with older or no children so he can continue to heal without fear of injuries. He is mostly potty trained after some guidance in the beginning. A VERY secure fenced yard is best since he is an escape artist and is not used to a leash and won’t potty while on one.
