Biscuit Chinchilla Chinchilla Wolcott, IN

We have an extra dark ebony male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. His name is Biscuit! He came in to the rescue a bit ago with his family (mom, dad, and four kids) and now most of them are available for adoption! We have down that Biscuit was born around 7/2018, which means he’s just turned a year old! Great time to add him to your family!

Biscuit’s color is called extra dark ebony, which is a shiny black color all over his whole body, including his belly! He’s a very handsome chinchilla, don’t you think?

Biscuit is currently living at a foster home in Rochelle, IL. He can be adopted directly from his foster home, or he can be brought back to the rescue in Hammond, IN, to be adopted from here. Please allow for time to transport, if you are interested in Biscuit.

Biscuit’s foster mom has this to say about him!:

He’s an active chinchilla, and he talks a lot. He’s less afraid than a lot of chins and he barely ever hides in his house. He’s been running around whenever he’s awake, and of course, chewing! He’s such an oaf, but in a cute way! On his first day here, he was so excited to run around his new cage, he jumped right into the food bowl and sent his food flying. He loves to explore, but hasn’t hid in his house once. He often tries to sniff things he can’t reach, or tries to climb his cage walls.

This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas.

This chinchilla would make a great “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. She will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

The adoption fee for Biscuit is $100
