Meet Baron - ADOPTED!!

Meet Baron, an 11-month-old Great Pyrenees that was just surrendered to PAN. The person surrendering this great dog bought him off of a Craigslist ad where he was being crated a large percent of the day; she then found him too strong for her to handle. So PAN has this amazing gentle giant to re-home! Baron has a neuter appointment next Monday and will be micro-chipped and brought up to date on all vaccines, including rabies. This breed is a stable, loyal, and confident breed; affectionate and gentle with his family yet protective and territorial. He may be too big for super small children because of his size, although he is great with our foster family's 4 year old who is very comfortable with large dogs. Great Pyrenees also tend to be more nocturnal, resting during the day and guarding at night. The best owner would be a family in a rural or suburban home. We recommend him being in a fenced area, trained and socialized, and leashed while out on walks. It is especially desirable that you have giant breed experience.

Baron's adoption fee is $375. We will only consider persons that submit a completed application. Our application can be obtained at PAN's main website. Here's the link: http://www.panoregon.org/.
