Rose Chihuahua Mix Hale Center, TX

Meet Rose! She is a Chihuahua mix, white/black with such pretty markings, and tan markings to highlight her face, 3-4 years old. Ruth is so very sweet and loves to be with her person. She enjoys her walks, but feels anxious if out in a crowd, she needs extra hugs and reassurance, hearing your voice. She does great as long as she can see her person, she just gets nervous and a bit unsure of her surroundings, crowds. She would do well as an only dog, or with another dog, just not one that makes her feel like an outcast. Rose is very submissive and wants to be extra cautious meeting new people or in new surroundings, environment. So a very outgoing, strong personality dog may not be the best fit for Rose, she would feel like an outcast. Rose is house trained, currently using dog door and wants to sleep close to her person, whether on a bed beside her person or in bed with her person. Rose will make a very good, kind companion and is so well-behaved, grateful for a full tummy and warm bed.
Rose's story, she was abandoned. Her family moved and left her behind, which is just so sad. A nearby neighbor saw she was alone and started feeding her, but Rose stayed outdoors, which is not safe nor comfortable for a small dog. We are thankful this person asked for help in finding a Rose a safe, indoor home. We want Rose to be loved, learn to trust again, not need to feel unsafe or uncertain in crowds, and realize she will not be abandoned and never need to worry about a warm, safe place with plentiful meals and treats! Not to mention, unkind people running her off, out of their yards, which is cause for her uncertainty, unsafe feelings meeting new people.

Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Pacific Northwest through a partnership with Project Freedom Ride. These dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by PFR/transport (usually Stanwood WA, Seattle WA, Meridian ID, Salt Lake City, UT and Tualatin, OR).

Our adoption fee is $350 for adults and $400 for puppies under 6 months old. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heartworm test, health certificate, and transport costs. As a Project Freedom Ride direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).
