5 month old dark ebony curly carrier male chinchilla Chinchilla Chinchilla Wolcott, IN

We have a dark ebony curly carrier male chinchilla that is looking for his new home. He came to NWI a bit ago, and he was born on 2/27/19. This makes him just under 5 months old, and now is a great time for him to go to his new home and bond with his new family.

This male’s color is called dark ebony. This means that he is a dark black color around his entire body, including his belly (which is typically white on most colors of chinchillas). This male is considered a curly / locken carrier chinchilla. He has a bit of wave on his belly and sides and when you’re petting him, you can feel the wave in the fur on his back, even though you can’t really see it.

This boy is super sweet. He’s relatively easy to pick up and he does pretty well with being handled and petted. He is still young and curious and wants to check things out, but he will sit with you and enjoy petting, at least for short periods of time! Pretty chill chinchilla. Definitely less energetic than most. Super sweet. Doesn’t bite.

This chinchilla is currently living alone, and we do not know if he gets along with other chinchillas. If you are curious as to whether he might get along with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla would make a great “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (2 pounds of Tradition pellets), a goodie bags of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.
