Introducing the sweetest southern gentleman there ever was, Omar! He is a gentle, 55 pound pit mix that was abandoned with his mother who was nursing a litter of his siblings. As dogs do, Omar has chosen to forgive and forget.

Not only is he handsome, Omar is gentle, attentive and submissive. He loves to play with other dogs and has done well when around children. Swimming in the pool is his favorite way to beat the heat and he walks well on a leash! He is 1.5 years old and still has his puppy moments when he forgets what is ok or not ok to chew on, but his foster mom says he’s doing well with training! Potty training is going well with only two accidents in the house that his foster mom says are her fault for not recognizing when he “asked” to go potty.

Omar would do best in a home with a family that can spend a lot of time with him so he never has to feel abandoned again. He loves to be with his people.
