If you have ever had a black cat then you know they are the best: most vertical, funniest, best kitties ever! And if you are a New Yorker, then no problem if you wear a little extra black fur on your clothes. Well everyone knows mangoes are orange but this little Oriental Short Hair Bombay boy is black! 7m, 4lbs, he lived w/ 15 cats and loves to play with other kitties his size and age. If you are looking for the BEST little boy, look no further. And if you are looking for a pair...we can help out on that score as well--in fact his best bud is a gorgeous front declawed Maine Coon Onyx D! And he fetches!
here is what the shelter says about him: Mango is a chatty and precious 6 month old kitten. Although I wish I could've spent more time with him, during the short period of time when I was with him, I was amazed by how amazing Tango Mango is. As I held up his tiny mouse toy a couple inches from his face, his gorgeous eyes closely followed with occasional attempts to grab it with his paw. He loves chin rubs and snuggled up to me in the cutest way possible. According to his previous owner, Mango is also amazing with both kids and cats, and his "roommate", Coconut, and him have the cutest relationship ever. I am positive that you will fall in love with Mango upon his meow and greet.

All our cats are in the NY area and can be adopted out of state. We do like to meet you so plan on picking up; if flying, in cabin only; in some cases we will help with transport.

Please note: kittens MUST be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we are happy to recommend cats who would do best as solos. Cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/Felv tested, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.

Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can perhaps foster, volunteer, and of course, you can always donate!
