Meet Athena
My name is Athena and I am only 9 years old and I can tell you honestly that I am a really big snuggle-bug, What could be better than having me sleep next to your bed at night? I am protective of my family and friends and will definitely bark at strangers, so you can feel safe when I am around. No one but you needs to know that I am really a big scaredy cat around so many silly things like trees, mailboxes, loud noises and vacuum cleaners.
Maybe it's because I'm forgetting things a bit more and my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be. I am even a bit frightened of going to the bathroom around moving cars or strangers, I know that sounds silly, but because of that I would do better in a fenced yard so I would feel less shy,
I do love children and they love me. Since I'm getting older I get tired quicker now, so gentle visits by children would be better for me than living with children. I do love my blanket and toys and one of my favorite things is to nap, either in my kennel or by you with my toys. I'm very well-behaved and can follow commands like shake paw, lay down, sit and stay. I would love to live with anyone who has the patience and love that an old lady like me deserves.
