BRENNAN (PP) German Shepherd Dog Mix Falmouth, ME

Please meet Brennan! This very handsome boy was turned over to our rescue after he was found as a stray with an injured rear leg. Upon examination by the vet, it was determined that Brennan had suffered multiple fractures at some point in the past. Because those fractures had healed without proper treatment, the leg could not be repaired. Amputation was considered; however, since it doesn’t seem to slow him down, they decided that wasn’t necessary. He does have a limp.

Brennan is a German Shepherd mix…approximately 1 year old and weighs in at 63 pounds. He’s energetic and playful with plenty of puppy still remaining in him. Typical of his breed and youth, he can get a little mouthy...not aggressively. Just his way of being playful and getting attention. A home with GSD experience will know how to help him become the best dog he can be. Though he has been crate trained, long spells confined to a crate are not for this boy. He needs an active life where he’ll get plenty of exercise. He walks pretty well on a leash, but like all young dogs, he can get excited when spotting something interesting.

Brennan loves engaging in play with the big dogs in his foster home. His puppy play may be too rambunctious for small dogs. His home needs to be cat free as he’s not a feline fan. He delights in being outside so a fenced yard would be ideal for him.

Because of Brennan's age, energy level and size, we think his best home will be with adults, or a family with teens. He’s been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
