Tripp Australian Shepherd & Entlebucher Mix Corvallis, OR

Hello World,

My name is Tripp and I am quite a guy at only 8 years young and 80 pounds strong! Don't let the fact that I am an Australian Shepherd/Entlebucher mix make you think I am too sophisticated for you--haha!--I am just a sweet, handsome guy.

Sometimes I am a bit nervous when I first meet people, and sometimes I feel like I have to protect myself by barking loudly and trying to scare people away. (I think some bad things may have happened to me in my first year of life. I can't remember any details, but that fear has stuck with me despite the fact that I had a loving home for the past 7 years.) For that reason, I can't be placed in a home with kids. But with my deep bark and my looks, I am great at protecting my people! My ideal home would be a quiet place in the country with one or two adults, lots of room to run around and not a lot of other people coming and going.

Now, other dogs - that's another story! I've never met another dog I didn't get along with and I love to play and wrestle with my foster sister! I weigh 3 times as much as she does, but I know how to play gently. I also love to rip the stuffing out of stuffed animals. Can't fault me on that since that's what they're made for! I won't damage anything else in your house, though; I'm a perfect gentleman indoors.

What's not to love about a healthy, fun-loving guy who can follow basic commands such as: SIT, STAY and DOWN. I do have plenty of energy for a mature dog and I need moderate daily exercise. Most of all I love to be around my family, especially when they rub my belly! If you give me a chance, I promise to be a loyal, active and loving friend.
