Gracie's owner recently passed away and her daughter promised she would find a safe place for her beloved cat to go. So now Gracie is a Waverly Pet Rescue kitty and living in a foster home. She is up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative and spayed. She also came to us front-paw declawed. She also recently had a dental done to clean her teeth.

Gracie is about 7 years old as of July 2019. Her owner loved her dearly. Her owner was a kind soul and loved all animals. Gracie was treated well in her previous home.

Gracie has adjusted well in her foster home. She was a little scared and shy at first. But within a couple of days she stopped hiding and came out for love and to be petted. She did not eat well the first couple of days but now is eating better too. Gracie loves to have her head petted and she will rub her face on you. She is a quiet cat so far and hasn't meowed very much. Gracie does well with my older kind daughters. Would be best in a home with older kind children, not sure how she would do with a toddler. Gracie has not been around any other cats yet. She has seen a couple of my other fosters and hissed at the, that first couple of days. Now when she sees them, she does not hiss so maybe in time she would be ok with other cats. There was another cat in the home she came from, but they were not really friends. They tolerated each other so it is ok for them to not be adopted together. Gracie has not been around dogs.

Gracie is a gentle sweetheart and would love for her to find a forever home.

Gracie's adoption fee is $95.00.


WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
