Summer Poodle Mix Houston, TX

Summer is one of three small, sweet female poodle mixes that we accepted in an emergency rescue from a home in which their owner died. We were told that she is the sister of Lady and the daughter of Zha-Zha, who are also available for adoption. We estimate Lady is about 8 years old and she weighs 7 pounds. Her soft, wavy coat is mostly black with highlights of cream.

Just like her housemates Lady and Zha-Zha, Summer is very feminine and affectionate. She’s calm and usually quiet. She loves people and shows flashes of energy and playfulness. There are times when she behaves and acts like a much younger dog. She has some endearing mannerisms and antics that bring a smile to your face. Mostly, she is very content and comfortable to be in your presence enjoying your attention - she loves to be cuddled and loved on.

Summer has seen a drastic change in her life and we think she’s bravely pressing on to the next chapter trying to connect with the next human who will care for her. She will need an owner willing to commit to the true spirit of Rescue. This precious girl needs a “giver” – maybe you are just the right fit. All the dogs are healthy, spayed/neutered, current on shots, parasite / heart worm disease tested (and treated if positive). All dogs are microchipped, groomed and trained to use a doggie door.
