Hi, I’m Riley and I’m a hound mix (cue hound dog bark). I’m 3 years old and think I’m a 72 pound lap dog. I really love to be with my people, some may say that I have separation anxiety, but do you blame me for just wanting to be near you and wanting all the attention you can give me? I know sit and lay. My foster mom and dad are working with me on stay and not jumping on people all the time. Again, the jumping, just me excited to see and be with you. I don’t mind my foster cat sibling, nor do I mind my other dog siblings, I do have a bit of food aggression so maybe being an only dog might the best for me. I’m not a fan of a kennel so I’m allowed to sleep on a nice dog bed by my fosters bed at night but I also enjoy being outside, a fenced yard would be so awesome!! Hi, there! I’m Riley and I’m a three year old hound mix with the cutest hound dog bark. I’m 72 pounds and I bet I will fit perfectly in your lap! I really love to be with my people, even the small humans! I am friendly with other dogs, I don’t mind cats, and I don’t potty in the house. But, if you want me to be the only love of your life, I am okay with that, too. I can walk on a leash, which is great because I sure do love exercise. I even love cruising around town in the car with my ears flappin’ in the wind! I call shotgun!
I am a pretty smart guy and know basic commands. And guess what else? I don’t need to be kenneled at night and will sleep next to you in a comfy dog bed. Sometimes, I get a little anxious when my people leave, but that’s just because I want to be with them so bad! I can also get a bit over zealous when I see you for the first time, but I am doing a good job of learning how to contain my excitement and not jump up on people.
Oh, one more thing. I would LOVE a fenced in backyard so I can run around and be the silly boy I am. But, as long as you make sure I get plenty of exercise, I would be okay without one. I really hope you are ready for your new best friend, because I have so much love and loyalty just WAITING for you. I hope to see you soon! Awwoooooo!!!
