Charlie spent his life as a pampered companion with his human mom but sadly she passed away and Charlie and his 'sister' Josie were left heartbroken. They are both sweet as can be and total lovebugs. Charlie is the spunky, playful one, while Josie is the quiet one. They have perfect manners and would love a retired person or couple to dote on them, together or separately. They get along great with other dogs their size. Charlie loves playtime & toys.

Charlie is a male ShihTzu who weighs 19 lbs and is 7 yrs old. Josie is a female ShihTzu who weighs 12 lbs and is 13 yrs old. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Adoption fee is $400 for Charlie, or $500 with his sister as a bonded pair to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.

We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
