ABOUT: Earl is looking for a special home that he can spend the rest of his days in. Earl was an abuse case who was starved and abused. His owner was prosecuted, and Earl waited in a shelter for a few months until the case was over with. We agreed to pull Earl into our rescue and upon transfer at the vet it was discovered that Earl has dermal hermangiosacoma (skin cancer). It is a quick spreading disease and Earl may have a 1-3 year survival window. We would like to see Earl in a loving forever home for the rest of his time as he is a sweet loving boy who has never experienced a loving home. There is no adoption fee for Earl, however a vet reference is required so that we know he will be cared for until his time comes. Earl does well with larger calm dogs (50+ pounds)outside of the home but is not good with cats/ small animals as he has a high prey drive). Earl would ultimately need to be the only pet in the home where he can be loved and spoiled. He loves to go for long walks and car rides, and sure loves to eat!
Earl does not require any medication, he is not in any pain. He takes a supplement each day for immune health that seems to be helping, he will go home with those, as well as his food, toys, treats, collar, leash, and new bed.
Earl is neutered, heart worm negative, current on vaccinations and parasite preventions.
