Biggie Smalls Chihuahua Madison, WI

Hello! My name is Biggie Smalls but my friends call me Biggs. I am about 5 years old and quite a good looking slim and trim fellow weighing around 5 lbs. My favorite hobbies are eating, sleeping, sitting on my human's lap, pretending to be a burrito in a blanket, going for walks, and playing with the other chihuahuas in my foster home. I used to have an elderly man who loved me, but he got sick and could no longer care for me. I've learned a lot of new skills in my foster home, like how to sleep at night in the crate (my foster mom says I'm a good sleeper), how to ride in the car in my crate (I'm very quiet), how to wear a harness to go on walks, and how to potty outside (my foster mom says I'm very reliable as long as I have a schedule). I have this endearing habit of sitting up and pawing the air when I see fabulous snacks, and when I'm excited I can spin in circles and make you laugh.
I am still learning and can get scared and nip sometimes - like when I'm startled out of sleep or a stranger grabs at me or when someone touches my feet. My foster mom says we are working on that. I am super food motivated and am working on new behaviors for yummy rewards. I'm a small guy so I need my person to be my advocate to keep me safe and let me continue to gain confidence.
If you have another small dog, I might decide to play after I have time to adjust. I hear there is something called a cat - what is that, I have no idea!
Oh, and can I please wear a sweater when it's cold? I love my sweaters and would consider it a true favor to have several to choose from to keep the Wisconsin chill in check. In return, I promise to sit on your lap, go for walks with you, give you kisses, take treats gently, and be a good companion. Love, Bigs.

Dogs from Underdog Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
Spay/Neuter
Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella Vaccinations (as age appropriate-puppy adopters may need to cover some vaccine boosters OR they have the option of bringing the pet to Underdog for complimentary completion of these vaccines)
Heartworm Test (for dogs over 6mo)
Microchip
Deworming
Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian

Our adult dog adoption fee is $275. Our puppy (under 5 mo) is $350. Our senior dog (over 8 yrs) is $250.
