DUSTY Vizsla Lincoln, NE

Dusty has been pretty dang close to perfect as a dog can be! He walks well on a leash, and rides well in a car, just don't roll that window down too far as this boy is curious and will take the chance to explore. He would love a mid-high energy lifestyle. That being said, he’s just like any other dog and will nap through the work day and sleeps through the night on his dog bed. He pretty much ignores the resident cat and has been getting along well with the other 3 large dogs in the house. He has met the neighbor kids and loves the attention, but when he gets excited he hops around trying to give hugs, so a home with small children may not be ideal for Mr. Dusty. A yard with a high fence is a must, he can clear some height if he wants to. Dusty recently went to a dog-friendly bar and he was great! Perfectly behaved in a crowded room and around other dogs. He’s a happy-go-lucky dude with a zest for life. He would make a great running partner!

Dusty is a Vizsla, weighs 52 lbs and was born approximately 4-2-17. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.

We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
