Meet JOSIE

Josie came to Dolly's Legacy as a loving momma to her 10 puppies. This was a difficult job for such a small, young dog but she was amazing. Josie is now ready to find a furever home that will give HER all the attention and love she deserves. She is house trained, able to use a pet door, or scratch on door if she needs to go out. She would like a fenced yard where she can enjoy being outside. She has not been kenneled but does well sleeping in a dog bed or on the cool floor. She does occasionally get on furniture and likes to sleep in our recliner at night. She likes chewing on bones, stuffed toys, and would enjoy someone to play with. She gets along well with other dogs and cats but it may take her awhile to get used to having them around. She will greet anyone for a good ear scratch and paw at you begging for more. She has never shown aggression and is very low key without requiring constant attention. She is not a lap dog but wants to be near whatever is going on. She does like to bark to alert but not constant and sleeps through the night. She would love laying outside in the sunshine and observing her surroundings. She sheds little and will allow you to brush her beautiful shiny coat and does well with grooming. She is a small 26lbs and will make anyone a great companion as long as you promise to give her belly rubs! Does this sound like a good fit to make part of your family? She is truly a great dog. Josie is a Cattle Dog/Beagle mix, weighs 30 lbs and is approximately 4 yrs old. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
