*Please read before submitting an adoption app*
1. Milo must be adopted by a family within reasonable driving distance of central Pennsylvania (Lancaster area).
2. Milo needs an experienced adopter. He is not a dog for a first time dog owner and needs someone with a good amount of dog experience.
3. Milo will not be adopted to a home that includes anyone under the age of 18. No exceptions.
4. Milo needs a family that includes another active, playful dog. He will not be placed in a home as an only dog.

Say hello to adorable, mischievous Milo. He’s a one-year old French Bulldog who is ridiculously cute, but don’t let that face fool you! While he’s adorbs, Milo came to us a bit full of himself and in need of some behavior modification. He was surrendered last year by a family who loved him very much but were unable to help him be his very best. Since that time, Milo has been working hard with his foster dad, who is a trainer, to get on the right track. He has made a lot of progress, however, will likely always have some quirks (hey, nothing wrong with quirky!) that need managed.

First, lets talk about all the positives Mr. Milo has to offer. He’s a young guy who just turned a year-old last August and has lots of great energy. He loves to run and play with his canine foster brother and would love to have a playful doggie sibling in his forever home. Milo is not a lazy, lounge around all day type of pup so couch potatoes need not apply! When he’s not playing, he can often be found chomping on a Nylabone, which is one of his favorite things. Milo is also great in his crate, house trained, walks nicely on leash (unless he sees something he really wants!), and is very food motivated. This comes in hand as far training. And, as with most Frenchies, he can be quite the clown at times!

As for dislikes, Milo has a few that are easy manage. One of those is his feet . . . he is not a fan of anyone messing with his tootsies. This is especially true when it comes to nail trims. To be safe, he has his nails done by a groomer and wears a soft muzzle, which he is fine with. To keep his new family’s fingers safe, we highly suggest this continues. Another thing Milo isn’t fond of is being disturbed when he’s sleeping. Sounds like common sense, right? While it’s not nice to bother any sleeping dog, it’s very important with a dog like Milo, who may react poorly. If you need to wake him up, using your voice instead of your hands works well so there’s no need to jostle him while he’s asleep. Also, Milo is an affectionate guy, but on his own terms. He’s not a dog who should be forced into cuddling when he’s not in the mood and, just as we want our personal space respected, he asks for the same.

Milo is a happy boy who is looking for a strong, but fair, leader to help him continue to be his very best. He needs to understand that his person is in charge, will take care of him, make sure he’s safe, and won’t tolerate any nonsense. Lots of positive reinforcement for making good decisions is key with this boy, but he also cannot be allowed to run the show! He would be happiest with a playful canine companion in his forever home and will not be adopted to a family with children under the age of 18. While there are lots of great families out there, Milo needs the one that is right for him. If you think that could be your family, he would love to meet you!

To meet Milo, please visit our website, www.pittieslovepeace.com, to submit an adoption application. Milo is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $400.00 and includes doggie kisses and a lifetime of LOVE.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing a predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
