Meet Oliver
We are happy to announce that Oliver is now available for adoption.
This little boy was rescued along with other Wheatens from a breeding situation. He is only 6 months old, and all he knew was life in a kennel. Now that he's been rescued, he's been vetted, and is learning all about life in a home.
This can be a lot for a young pup. So many things our resident dogs take for granted - normal home noises, comfort around people, playing, climbing stairs - he is just now starting to learn. He is timid at first and is learning that people can be kind and won't ever hurt him. He's a quick study, he's curious, sweet, and will come along just fine in time, with some patience and tlc.
Oliver would like a home with another dog/s, to help him learn, with someone kind who is willing to invest time and effort in getting him socialized. Oliver is gentle, but small children would likely scare him, so he will need a home with older children or no children at all. A fenced yard where he can safely play is preferred, and as a reminder, we do not place dogs in homes with electric shock fencing.
Oliver is a Wheaten, he will be around 40 lbs when he's fully grown, and though his haircut is not the greatest (he was awfully matted and had to be shaved down), he has a beautiful American coat.
