Meeka Border Collie & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Onalaska, WI

Hey Ya’ll! My name is Meeka and I came all the way from Texas for a second chance here in Wisconsin! I am listed as a one year old (and five months!) border collie mix, but my foster mom thinks I have some heeler in me too.

I am a very smart girl. In fact, I’ve learned a lot of new things here! I had a lot of work to do, but my foster mom has made sure I am ready to go! I am potty trained when let out frequently (I even go to the door to let you know I need out!) and crate trained. I’m used to sleeping in my kennel at night, but I wouldn’t mind a nice warm bed ?

When I first got here, I didn’t really know how to be a dog. ? but my foster brother has shown me the ropes (literally!). Now I love to play, and go on walks! I am getting better on my leash everyday. I am a huge love bug and follow my foster mom around the house all day but I can also be super silly!

Sometimes I chase the cats, but I never hurt them. I am timid around men, but I come around slowly with time (and lots of treats!). My foster mom thinks I would do well around older children with a proper introduction. I don’t mind baths or being brushed.
