Curry Black Labrador Retriever Mix Anaconda, MT

Curry was a transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control, it appeared that she had had puppies recently. She is a sweet, young dog who hasn't had a lot of training. She does seem to be house trained. Leash training could use some polishing. Spayed 04/08/2019. Curry is a curious, playful dog who loves being in the water. She loves playing with just about anything. Her energy level is high; she needs exercise and interesting things to do. It seems her life was so deprived of any attention / exercise / love, that it lead to a supercharged nature. BUT, in a home she would feel she had a place and would turn out to be a delight. UPDATE: 01/20/2020 Curry is on a break from shelter life. She is in foster care and is being exercised and trained.

Here is her foster Mom's update: My foster dog Curry is ready for adoption from Pintler Pets. Curry is a young adult, mixed breed, spayed female that hails from Anaconda, Montana. She is a pretty dog with nice conformation that is a very dark chocolate color. Curry is a high energy athlete with a wonderful, can-do attitude. She is friendly, curious, enthusiastic, forward, and happy. Curry has high toy drive, loves to play, and also loves the water. She LOVES bike rides! She is dog friendly but is very energetic so needs dog friends that are OK with that. Curry likes to use her nose, is currently enrolled in a basic obedience class, and is being started on joring. Recently (03/04/2020), Curry earned a Certificate of Achievement for completing Basic Obedience Training offered by Rocky Mountain Dog Training!

Curry has high prey drive and should either not live with cats or small dogs or must have an owner experienced with managing high drive dogs and small animals. Curry truly is an athlete and needs an active owner, someone who is committed to daily exercise or work for her. This dog could do a multitude of tasks if developed properly, or could be a member of a very active household or partnership. Her new owner must be committed to providing leadership and structure, and to continuing with her obedience training. Curry is currently in a foster home in Helena, Montana. She is such a fun dog!

All our dogs are spayed/neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated appropriate for their age, vaccinated for kennel cough, and micro-chipped. Puppies (under 6 months) are $225.00; puppies (6 months to 2 years) are $175.00, dogs (over 2 years) are $150 and senior dogs (7 years or older) are $60.00.
