Meet Rodney
Thank you for your interest in Rodney; we are no longer accepting applications at this time.
My name is Rodney and my foster humans say I’m a very. very good boy!
I’m a 5 year old English setter! I love people of all shapes and sizes but the kiddos are my favorite!
I do really well in the house and I even get along with the cat! I LOVE other dogs!
I don’t have a mean bone in my body.
I’m a bird dog and I love to point the birds. And, bird dogs love to run too.
Here’s the thing, my fosters see that I like to hunt. They’ve been working with me and I am definitely birdy.
I would like an experienced hunter or someone who will able to be in the field with more training. They say “I’ve got it in my blood.” And, I’m an indoor dog. You see, I love my spots inside.
I’m house broken and crate trained. I know commands like sit, stay, and come.
I don’t tear anything up and can be left out my crate while you’re gone. I really don’t need to be crated.
One of my favs is sunbathing on the couch so hopefully you’ve got a couch or chair I can use. I love to jump and give hugs. It’s just one of those things. But, I know my commands like “get down” very well.
My favorite hobbies are fetch, cuddling with my people and being in my backyard.
Let me just say my foster parents love me very, very much.
I’ve really blossomed and they’re hoping someone very special is looking for me.
If you are interested in adopting Rodney or another OESR dog, you must complete the application process at www.oesr.org.
All adoptive homes must have a fenced yard or other type of containment or boundaries for the dog. Vet and personal reference checks as well as a home visit will be conducted prior to final adoption approval for all OESR dogs.
Adoption fees range from $225.00 to $395.00.
