Meet Sunny
Hello, my name is Sunny! And I’m living the KANSAS life!
A month ago I had no name, was brought into the Harris county animal shelter with a limp of my left hind leg. This is my X-ray, showing that I'd been shot quite a few times (and have multiple femur fractures, some old, some new). No rescue was interested in me and I was put on the euthanasia list. A former Purple Paws Foster asked if Purple Paws Animal Welfare Society might take me, and they agreed. They even offered to pay for my surgery to lessen my hip pain. So here I am!
I'm full of life! I am a lab mix, approximatly 10 months old, spayed, and currently on the road to recovery from my surgery. I have a puppy spirit, but I do enjoy snuggling with anyone. I get along great with other dogs of any size or age. I love kids and I'm all about new adventures. I'm doing great with potty training. I'm not such a fan of the crate, but I'll go in for a frozen kong. I may whine just a little, but then I settle down. I'm about 34 pounds, so I would do great in any kind of housing. I would just need a nice walk, a yard, or dog park to play fetch. I'm still learning to bring the toy back for fetch. My foster parents think I'm a pretty fast runner even with my injured leg. Nothing slows me down. They say I'm resilient and would make a great addition to any family. So, if you think you're the one for me, please put in an adoption application. I can't wait to meet you!
