SARGE Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Lincoln, NE

Sarge is an amazing little survivor who beat the odds! He was found as a tiny puppy and badly injured in a ditch in far Southeastern Missouri after presumably being hit by a car. His leg was snapped in half and needed to be repaired if he was ever to walk again normally. Thankfully, he fell into the right hands, got the surgery he needed, and has made a great recovery! He now has a permanent pin in his leg, but it hasn't stopped him from being a typical, happy, bouncy puppy who loves to play. He prides himself on being the 'neighborhood watch' eagle-eye, monitoring squirrels & passersby. Sarge loves to share playtime with the other dog in his foster home and has been a great friend to everyone he's met. His favorite thing in the whole world is his stuffed dinosaur that he brings with him everywhere, he even made the 10 hr trip to Nebraska with it! Since he loves playing, we are requiring a fenced yard for him so he stays safe & secure. We love our little Sarge, and know you will too.

Sarge is an Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler, weighs 25 lbs (but growing) and was born approximately 9-10-18. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed & started on heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.

The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
