Meet Doc

Sweet, amazing Doc is a wonderful dog. He loves to fetch all day long. He loves to play in the pond and hang out in the sun and snow. He does not require a lot of exercise, though he does enjoy going for walks, playing with toys.

He also enjoys being brushed and will lick your face the whole time you are pampering him! Doc will want you to share your bed at night, but would also be happy with a big comfortable dog bed (or your couch!)

Doc should have a large outside area to chase a ball and hang out as that is what he is happiest doing. Fun Fact: He can carry three tennis balls in his mouth at once!

Doc will be best in a home where he is the only dog, and he should also not live with cats. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he prefers to not have to share his space or toys them. He loves meeting new people, and people love to meet him. He has done great with both men and women, and even children.

Doc is house-trained and is a lovely gentleman on the leash.

Doc is 7 years old and weighs about 115 lbs.

We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals. This is why it is important that we introduce everyone in the home to the new pet.

We ask that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure sure your dogs are up to current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting Doc or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:45 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 970 626 2273
