Note: Our rescue requires that all adopter's current and prior animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (DHLPP & Rabies) and preventatives (heartworm and flea and tick), unless there is a medical reason not allowing it. All animals in your household should be spayed or neutered unless medically indicated that they should not be or are currently still too young.

She arrived to the shelter via animal control, wearing her invisible fence collar. Sadly, we learned that her Mom had a debilitating stroke, went into a nursing facility and would not be returning home. She loved this pretty girl very much. Unfortunately, no family members could take her. The neighbors had called animal control, seeing her wait in the yard playing with other neighborhood pets that would visit. Arriving to the packed shelter, confused, scared and alone, an awesome foster mom came immediately and got her. Raine has blossomed every day since and is now her happy, playful self again, ready for her forever.

Raine is around 4 years old and 35lbs. She is the cutest girl with her big smile, fluffy tail and short legs. Thanks to a generous donor, Raine has already completed her heartworm treatment in foster care.

Raine's ideal home would have a Mom that is involved with her daily, as having a Mom is special to her since she lost hers unexpectedly. She is fine with dads too, just takes a little longer to warm up. The home would have another dog to help build her confidence during her transition. She loves dogs of any size, having multiple dog friends of various energy level in her foster home. Raine's personality is pretty laid back and mellow with spurts of playful energy. She is good with kids too, having a toddler in foster that she enjoys. Raine needs a home without cats. The home would have a fence. Raine will require a little time and patience in her new environment, so a fence will help assure her safety and ease of transition. Her new family would be compassionate to her story and understand for the first week she may choose to stay in her crate some or be shy about walking on her leash. She will adapt and show you her beautiful personality. She is housebroken and crate trained and is working on her leash walking skills.
