Meet MAX

MAS HAS BEEN ADOPTED ~ his puppies are seeking homes.
Max is everything you could ever want in a dog....he is a faithful & loyal companion, he is gentle, low-key, and has never met a stranger. We cannot say enough about how amazingly perfect he is. He has great house manners and is a gentleman. Max is much smaller than he appears in person and is a perfect balance between big & little dogs. We are requiring that he go to a home with a verifiable vet reference and proven dog ownership history. Max was rescued from Southeastern Missouri, along with his 12 puppies (our dozen box of Chocolates), and suffering from heartworm disease. He has gone through treatment and had a bit of a rough recovery, but thanks to the TLC given to him by his foster family, he is feeling so much better and is ready to start the next chapter in his life as a permanent member of his forever family. He will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventative to keep his heartworm disease at bay, which is recommended for all dogs, regardless of heartworm history. He would love a fenced yard to romp in when he fancies some play time. Since he is so perfect, we are requiring the same for him....a perfect home. If you think you are worthy of our Max, please submit an application today.

Max is a male Chesapeake Bay Retriever (maybe with Chocolate Lab) and is estimated at 2 yrs old and weighs 52 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed and provided life-saving heartworm treatment. Adoption fee is $400 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. For adoption guidelines and to submit an application, please go to this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will receive a reply from DollysLegacy@aol.com within a few days of application submission, please make sure to check your spam folder if you do not see a reply within a week. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records. If you are a renter, you must provide landlord contact information. If you have any questions please email DollysLegacy@aol.com.
