Meet Ruby
Ruby is a 11.5 year old Pug Mix who is just as sweet as pie! She weighs around 24 lbs and is a real lover! She has lots of energy and loves to play, but knows when it's time to relax and cuddle! She is excited about getting a new home and would love to meet you! Ruby is a senior girl, so she needs someone who will be willing to love an old soul!
She also has some vision issues, with a cataract on one eye, which limits her vision. She is easily startled, so she needs a calming constant home life. No small kids and probably no other dogs. We would love for Ruby to live out her final years somewhere safe and loved!. There is a chance that she could go completely blind if a cataract forms on her other eye.
Sadly Ruby was returned to us and we would really love to find her a wonderful new home who will commit to her for the rest of her life!
Please know that if you come to meet any of the dogs at our facility, they may be excited to see you and extra active. Many times, this is not a true picture of how they may act in a warm, safe home setting. We, as volunteers, often take our shelter dogs on home visits and they become calm and act like completely different animals. This pertains to potty habits and demeanor. Please realize that they need a chance to shine out of the shelter setting!
Please call us at 618-542-DOGS(3647) or if you have any specific questions about me, please email the shelter volunteer at pchsinfo@yahoo.com or go to www.perrycountyhumanesocietyil.com to apply.
