Meet Zoey
Please say hello to 7 year old Zoey. She has quite a story to tell.
Zoey was adopted in 2017 in Alabama. At the time she tested positive for heartworm but she was treated and cured. The man who adopted her drove trucks and she got to go all over the country.
This Christmas she came to Oregon from Alabama with her owner. Their truck broke down and got snowed in up in the mountains. A kind woman who owns a hotel nearby gave them a room to stay in . Sadly, a couple of days after they arrived, Zoey's owner took his life. He left a note asking for Zoey to be surrendered to a no-kill rescue, which is how she came to Senior Dog Rescue.
Zoey LOVES people but she is not a fan of cats. She gets along well with children and loveslovesloves being petted! She is petite (the beagle side of her!) and SO affectionate and happy. She loves going for walks and snuggling on the couch. However, Zoey MUST be an only dog. She gets along great with other dogs on walks and casual meet-ups, but she is very possessive of her people and does not want to share them with any other animals!
Are you the forever family that Zoey is longing for?
