Meet Hatchet

4. Adoption process includes application, meet and greet, home visit, minimum 24-hr overnight stay, adoption agreement.
Meet this handsome boy. He looks like Hercules on the outside but has the personality of a sweet gooey marshmallow. He does great on the leash, loves to go for car rides, and even likes to go shopping! He knows sit and come and seems to be treat motivated and eager to learn more. He seems non-reactive to loud noises and barking dogs. He is also very good with a touch test. I was able to touch every part of his body without any reaction. He likes toys but doesn't rely on them. He's the kind of dog I could see sitting by a door and "people watch" without reacting. He does shed quite a bit but that could be due to stress of being in a rescue setting. He loved being scratched on his sides. We don't see him being a lap dog but he would make a fantastic pet. Hatchet would work ideally in a home with older or grown children due to his size.
