Martha Tabby Independence, OH

Martha was left in an apartment for a week with her cat friend after her owner passed away. Once the authorities were notified, and it was deemed a crime scene, the cats were going to be locked in the apartment for another 3-5 days during the investigation. No city or county agency would come out to rescue them. A neighbor had our number since we helped her last year with a cat, and rolled the dice and called. It was late on a Sunday night, and we couldn’t say no, knowing the trauma they’ve been thru and their future(tossed out by the apartment manager). So, our fearless leader crawled out of bed, drove over to the apartment (not in the safest neighborhood) and negotiated with the police to let her take the cats.

The cats were scared and freaked out, but since they were starving, they eventually went into the trap. Family members didn’t want them, so they were turned over to Lucky paws. We totally vetted them and they’re now up for adoption. We tried Martha in an adoption cage and she had a melt down, so will need to be adopted directly from her foster home.

Is there anyone out there who would adopt this pretty girl or consider fostering her for a few weeks? She’s been through so much we hate to continue to stress her out.

Martha is 4 years old, loves spending the day looking out the window and will run to you for some sweet lovin!
