Hi! I'm Mariah and I am a very sweet 1 year old who likes everybody and everydog. I am a rescue from a shelter but am now with a temporary foster while I look for my forever family. I am totally dog friendly, with my 2 foster siblings and all the dogs at the dog park. I have a lot of energy and love to run and play and chase balls. Tug-of-war is my specialty. Though active, I am very peaceful in the house and like to nap. I am house trained and like to sleep in my den, where I am told I sleep straight through the night. I am not a barker but I alert bark to give notice of intruders. Foster dad has a cat who I basically ignore. I know my basic commands. I can sit and lay down and even stay (somewhat). I think I know what "leave it" means. We are working on "wait".

Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home.

The minimum donation for a dog is $175 (or $225 for puppies).

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Since all of our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule.
