Monty crossed the rainbow bridge after suffering from complications with his colon. We at CRI will miss him - especially his foster mom and dad who adored him.

Meet Mr. Monty! This sweet, loving boy is a beautiful tricolor collie who is 9 years old. He is very friendly to every person and dog he meets! Monty has had a rough year. He lived with one person most of his life, up until recently. Monty's dad was elderly, and could no longer take care of him. He cared about Monty very much, but dementia prevented him from providing for Monty's needs. We were called in to help, and were shocked to find that Monty needed significant medical intervention immediately. Monty has an issue with his rear end (ventral deviation at the distal recum) which causes him to need extra care. He requires help with passing his stool sometimes, along with stool softening medication, baths, and most importantly -- understanding and love. Despite this, Monty is literally the sweetest, most loving boy. We did not want to give up on Monty, as he is such a sweet soul and still is so happy. He loves to hang with his humans and play with his canine friends. This sweet guy has been through a lot and deserves a great new forever home!
