Sammy Great Dane Pensacola, FL

Sammy is a 2 year old male great dane with a gorgeous black coat. He is very regal and stocky in nature, a gorgeous boy to look at.

Although Sammy is very regal in looks, he's terrified of everything in nature. Sammy came to us completely shut down in fear of humans. We do not know what his backstory is, but he is a severe case of timid and scared. We have never once seen him act out aggressively to anything. He's the exact opposite, when he is scared he goes into flight mode or pancakes into the ground.

We are working with Sammy now to try and build his confidence and get him used to a home life environment and used to human handling. He is perfectly fine around other dogs. In fact, that's the only way we can get him to progress. He relies entirely on the other danes in his foster home to function and know what to do, where to go, when to eat. He follows one dane in particular named Sully around entirely.

Sully will need another stable, balanced large breed dog in his adoptive home in order to thrive. We will not consider adopting him out as an only dog.
