Meet Baxter

Baxter is approximately 2 years old, but he has baffled the vet, who isn't quite sure what breed mix he is. We think he may be a Swiss Mountain Dog Mix because of his coloring and characteristics. This handsome boy was abandoned by his family and took to roaming the country roads in the area where he had lived. He joined us here at ABAR in January 2018. Baxter is a happy, friendly, and RAMBUNCTIOUS fella who enjoys having a big yard to play in and people to play with. He loves attention, head scratches, and belly rubs. He is great around adults. He is aggressive to other dogs here at the rescue. He barks at the feral cats, we have no information about him with children. His weight is approximately 60-70#’s. He is QUITE STRONG. Baxter is housebroken, lash & crate-trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.
We recommend Baxter to be an only pet in the household!
